I have removed ALL my novels from Amazon. Instead, they are available on almost every other platform. Authors are experiencing egregious behavior from KU (Kindle Unlimited), such as the removal of books with zero warning, inability to reach a human, no information provided as to why an author’s book/s were removed, Amazon refusing to pay out royalties, etc. In some cases, this has happened to authors who have been publishing for over a decade, or who have had thousands of dollars in royalties withheld with no explanation.
I myself experienced Amazon’s draconian policies a few days ago, in the form of the removal of book two of the MOTHS series. This happened a week after 1000+ people downloaded it during a giveaway. Obviously, I found that to be unacceptable.

- Each book contains seven parts—one from each character, always in the same order.
- Content advisories include:
- A scene of abuse against a child. This moment is brief and written as delicately as possible, but it is vital to the story. It reveals the horrors of Ihatithre, a world very unlike Nuama, and sets crucial events into motion. This is the only scene of its kind in the entire series, and its inclusion serves a clear purpose in both plot and character development. It does not happen to one of the main characters as an ‘abuse-as-character-building’ trope.
- Intense power dynamics and violence (almost always directed toward male-gendered people).
- Infanticide (of males).
- Explicit, sensual intimate scenes, always focused on her pleasure (plus queer, sapphic, and poly constellations).
