What is Mythos of the Hollowed Souls?
Mythos of the Hollowed Souls (MOTHS) is a dark romantasy series set in a world of pleasure and abundance…but a hellrealm is bleeding through, traitors threaten the throne, and ancient secrets refuse to stay buried.
How much does it cost to read?
The MOTHS series is available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. As of February 20th, 2026, each book is $.99. That price will go up at some point in the future. Books 1-3 are out now, books 4 & 5 are available for preorder. Paperbacks and hardcover copies will be available in the latter half of 2026 or sooner if there is demand.
Will there be physical copies?
Yes! Physical copies of the MOTHS series will be available for purchase by the holiday season in 2026. More details will be announced closer to the launch date. To stay updated, subscribe here.
Is this series appropriate for all readers?
MOTHS contains mature themes, including violence and sexual content. That said, the gravest crime is to harm a woman or child, so those scenes are very rarely shown on page, and never in detail.
A particularly difficult scene in the first chapter of the first book depicts the mistreatment of a child. This moment is not exploitative, but rather exposes the depths of corruption and cruelty that thrives in societies where the safety of women and children is not prioritized. That scene serves as a pivotal turning point, shaping the narrative and the characters’ journeys. This level of brutality towards children is not reflective of life in Nuama—even off-page—but rather occurs in Ihatithre, a realm that the POV characters visit.
If you are sensitive to these themes, please read with care. If you wish to avoid the scene of child abuse, skip the second half of the scene where Thelyrah descends into Ihatithre, and resume reading once she returns to Nuama later in the chapter.
That said, I hope some younger readers may find themselves in these pages. Queer love is prioritized, and everyone in Nuama is safe to express love in ways that are right for them (minor/adult relationships, abuse, and dubious consent are considered grave crimes ).
