What is Mythos of the Hollowed Souls?
Mythos of the Hollowed Souls (MOTHS) is an epic romantasy series set in Nuama—a world of pleasure and abundance ruled by winged women who are served by de-winged men. But beneath this lush paradise lurks a reality no one should have to face—the nightmarish realm of Ihatithre. As past choices unravel and destinies collide, seven lives bound by fate must navigate a web of power, love, and sacrifice—where every secret threatens to destroy reality itself.
How much does it cost to read?
The main MOTHS series, and the two companion series, called Nuama After Dark and MOTHS Side Quests, are available on Amazon and via Kindle Unlimited. Once I have a large enough readership, I will offer my writing exclusively on this website.
When will the other books be released?
There is currently a backlist waiting to be edited and published—I expect at least one MOTHS novel, Side Quest or Nuama After Dark story to be released each month for the foreseeable future. I also already have a backlist of several books on Amazon, which you can find here.
Will there be physical copies?
Yes! Physical copies of the MOTHS series will be available for purchase before the holiday season in 2025. More details on formats, special editions, as well as pre-orders for bonus content and additional books in MOTHS series will be announced closer to the launch date.
Is this series appropriate for all readers?
MOTHS, Nuama After Dark, and MOTHS Side Quests contains mature themes, including violence and sexual content.
However, I do not include violence for shock value. Instead, it is woven into the fabric of the world to explore power, control, survival, and the ways societies justify or ignore the harm they inflict.
A particularly difficult scene in the first chapter of the first book depicts the mistreatment of a child. This moment is not intended to be exploitative, but rather to expose the depths of corruption and cruelty that can thrive in societies where the safety of women and children is not prioritized. It serves as a pivotal turning point, shaping the narrative and the characters’ journeys. This level of brutality towards children is not reflective of life in Nuama—even off-page—but rather occurs in Ihatithre, a realm that the POV characters visit.
If you are sensitive to these themes, please read with care. If you wish to avoid the scene of child abuse, skill the scene where Thelyrah descends into Ihatithre, and resume reading once she returns to Nuama later in the chapter.
That said, I hope some younger readers may find themselves in these pages. Queer love is prioritized, and everyone in Nuama is safe to express love in ways that are right for them (minor/adult relationships, abuse, and dubious consent excluded).
